Akua was born in Ghana but left to attend boarding school in the UK when she was 10 year old. As a child, she did not know anything about Africa. In her 20s and 30s, she travelled to Ghana, Togo, Gambia, Liberia, Mali, Benin, South Africa, Tanzania, Madagascar and Rwanda.  Once Akua discovered Africa, she made it her mission to share the positive stories, the beauty, the culture and history. This she does through books, TV shows, movies and tours. Akua is credited with being a pacesetter in the Ghanaian arts scene and played a key role in Ghana’ s return home agenda. She holds an MA in Development Communication.
