Georgesette Sédo, a 27-year-old Surinamese woman, is a powerful role model for the youth, especially those in underprivileged neighborhoods. She currently lives in Türkiye, where she has a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Georgesette works as a Technical Secretary for the Standards Bureau for Suriname, where she represents her country in the development of standards at the regional and international levels. Her education in Business Economics and Marketing has enabled her to provide support in various roles within organizations such as Suricorps for Development (Suriname), Rotaract (International), JCI (international), and the CARICOM Youth Ambassadors Corps (regional). Georgesette’s dedication to these organizations has resulted in significant accomplishments, including being awarded the JCI Unify Observer for the first and second quarters of 2020 and the Most Outstanding Rotaract Professional Development Project of the 2nd quarter for Zone 7030 in 2020.

Georgesette has achieved many personal accomplishments, including being the 2nd Runner Up Excellent student at AMS 2011 (high school) and receiving the Islamic Development Bank & Turkish Scholarships Master of Science Scholarship from 2020-2024. Georgesette is fluent in Dutch and Sranan Tongo, her native languages, and is proficient in English and Turkish. Additionally, she has elementary proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese.
